For select Sony Uni-link equipped radios, the IPOD-SON kit provides a direct audio input from any iPod with a dock connector, and charges the iPod while connected. The IPOD-SON includes a Uni-link “pigtail” adapter that is required to be plugged into the back of most Sony Uni-link equipped radios, and “fools” the radio into seeing a CD changer connected, allowing audio from the iPod into the radio. The iPod’s click wheel controls are still used for song selection, play control, etc. This interface also charges the iPod while connected and is compatible with all iPod models featuring the dock connector.
